Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect through pixie-hawthorne.com, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. I’m Pixie Hawthorne, and I’m responsible for your information. You can reach me at hello@pixie-hawthorne.com.

What I collect and why

When you send me a message. The contact form asks for your name, your email, what your message is about and the message itself. I use these only to reply to you. The form sends the message to my inbox and sends you a short confirmation. The website itself doesn’t store your message.

When you book. Bookings are handled by Cal.com, which collects your name, email and anything you add to the booking form, so it can confirm your appointment and send reminders. If a session is paid, payment is taken by Stripe through Cal.com. I never see your card details.

When you browse. The site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits, which doesn’t use cookies or follow you across other sites. Cloudflare also hosts the site and runs a security check (Turnstile) on the contact form to keep out spam.

During sessions. Anything you share with me during a session stays between us. I keep brief session notes only to support your care, and I’ll delete them if you ask.

Who else handles your information

• Cloudflare hosts the website, protects the contact form and counts visits.
• Resend delivers emails sent from the contact form.
• Cal.com handles bookings, confirmations and reminders.
• Stripe takes payments for paid sessions.

Each of them only uses your information to provide their service to me. Some of them may process information outside the UK and the EU, under the safeguards the law requires.

The legal basis

I handle your information because you’ve asked me to (to reply to you or to book a session), because I need it to provide the session you’ve booked, or because I have a legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and understanding how it’s used.

How long I keep it

I keep emails for as long as we’re in touch, and delete them when you ask or when they’re no longer needed. I keep booking and payment records for as long as the tax rules require, usually six years.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of your information, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. Email hello@pixie-hawthorne.com and I’ll reply within a month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, or to the authority where you live (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
